Kaijudo

Gauntlet Expansion trailer and in-store poster

Project Overview

The brand team requested a piece of in-store POP that would engage Kaijudo fans and get the current storyline across in a compelling way. I came up with this concept. The first image is of the pop-up poster that requires minimal set up (one place to peel and stick). Research shows that retailers need as many barriers removed as possible to encourage them to use the materials we give them.

The video on the left would play once the QR code was scanned on the poster delivering a message from "beyond the veil". The low budget video was created with existing artwork and After Effects.

My Role

I concepted and pitched these ideas in the role as Art Director and designer for this campaign. I lead the creative concepting and was the Director for the video portion of the project. Carrington Long was the Producer on the video. Both projects were taken from creative brief to final executions.

The above movie plays when QR code is scanned on the 3D pop-up style promotional poster. There was minimal assembly was required - one place to peal off and stick.

Kaijudo Draft Kit

Below is a retailer kit I designed to promote a new style of play for the Kaijudo TCG—draft. It included a playmat that would cover a standard six foot table, a standee, posters, a table tent and a window cling.
